SOLDI had a choice with this pipe. It was very well grained as a smooth, with only a couple of sand spots, so a dark stain would have looked nice. On the other hand, the light weight of the wood with those highly visible growth rings was screaming for it to be a blast. I opted for the blast, and it was the right decision. That blast is craggilicious! Deep and well defined, the blast will darken as the pipe is smoked, revealing even more definition. The rim and shank face is smooth, and the mouthpiece is hand cut cumberland. Light weight at an even 50.0 grams.
